Bio & Resume
Hello,
I am Telba Cavero; bilingual (English/Spanish) actress and theatre director. IG telba_cavero
My journey in the world of performing arts began at the tender age of 6 in Lima, Peru, where I took my initial steps into acting. By the time I turned 10, I had already completed a two-year run in Saltinbanquis, which was the pinnacle of success in Peru’s musical landscape at the time.
I studied Radio and TV Communication and Broadcasting and later on I achieved with honors a BFA in Theatre from the College of Charleston in South Carolina.
NYC has become both my home and my artistic playground. I’m currently adapting children’s stories for a storytelling children streaming series. The series’ objective is to foment storytelling and reading habits in kids.
In 2020, I directed my first virtual play called Master Class. Directing a virtual play was not an easy task but definitely a new medium I was exciting to explore.
As an actress, it took me some years to embrace and appreciate my uniqueness. I now understand that my special attributes can bring new prespectives in character development. As a director, I'm committed to support all talent equally, seeing beyond skin color, ethnicity or accents.
